About JEANNETTE OOSTLANDER
Jeannette has been painting since 1978, and loves working to improve her artwork by painting outside.
Many of her paintings are done on location, resulting in high levels of energy and freedom in her brushwork.
Before starting each painting she visualizes the completed canvas the way she hopes to see it, and stays open to interesting possibilities as the painting progresses.
For 25 years, she organized a successful solo exhibition of all brand new paintings annually.
Jeannette is basically a self-taught artist but has enhanced her talent by taking workshops with such great artists as Ovanes Berberian, K.C. Smith, Allen Wylie, Allen Edwards and Elizabeth Smiley, as well as excellent local artists Ron Parker, Joseph Cross and Karen Hersey.
